WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading, also known as feathering, feather touch, eyebrow embroidery or 3D eyebrows, is a form of semi permanent makeup where pigment is applied manually into the surface layer of the skin. Small, precise strokes are drawn in the direction of the eyebrows natural hair growth to achieve a realistic look for both Women and Men.

Pigment is chosen to match the natural hair colour. Eyebrows can appear slightly red for a few hours after the procedure and the colour will be quite dark. However, 7 days after treatment the eyebrows will heal 40-50% lighter, 15% thinner and the colour will blend in with the eyebrows natural hair colour

During the healing process (first 28 days) it's normal for the strokes to completely lose their pigment or appear very light. On the 3rd or 4th day the skin starts to peel and may feel itchy which is part of the healing process but it's important NOT to scratch or pick your eyebrows. Colour duration depends on skin type, the oilier the skin the shorter the pigment lasts. Sweating and sun exposure also reduces the duration.

Healing is fully complete after 28 days which is when the 2nd step is performed to fill in pigment that has been lost. Post treatment contributes to 70% of your microblading results, following the after care advice and applying cream is very important, if not followed correctly you could lose 80% of the microblading strokes.
