IS IT PAINFUL?

Pain during the procedure is relative, clients compare it to the pain they feel when plucking their eyebrows or getting their eyebrows threaded. A mild anesthetic can be applied to eliminate the pain.

Please be mindful, you will be more sensitive while on your menstrual cycle.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

Results are soft, natural and fuller brows that lasts between 12-24 months, with oily skin it lasts up to 6 months and new colour refreshment is required.

WHY ARE MY BROWS SO DARK?

Eyebrows can appear quite dark after the procedure, this is because pigments used in microblading are made up of liquified powder so during the healing process, the body will gradually absorb the liquid from the pigment, leaving only the dry component, creating a lighter shade.

7 days after treatment, eyebrows will heal 40-50% lighter, 15% thinner and the colour will blend in naturally with the eyebrow's hair colour

WHAT SHOULD I USE ON BROWS?

Always protect your eyebrows from the sun by using sun protection cream (once eyebrows have healed after 7 days)

HOW SUCCESSFUL IS THE TREATMENT?

  • skin quality

  • post-treatment care

  • exposure to various external influences.

These factors are out of the artist’s control, thus providing any guarantee for the treatment is not possible.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID TO MAINTAIN MY EYEBROWS FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME?

You should always avoid laser treatment over the treated area during the healing period (laser, IPL) as they can destroy the pigment and cause inflammation. Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to faster pigment fading.

WHY DO I NEED A RETOUCH?

The healing of the skin after 4-6 weeks post initial treatment, means another layer of the skin will grow over the microblading ink- causing the color pigment to appear lighter by 30 to 70% and this can often occur in varying areas of the brow. Generally this is due to an assortment of factors including: body chemistry, post treatment care, sun exposure and possible medication.  The touch up comes as an opportunity for Mel Vali Microblading to settle any of the undesired developments that may have occurred.   Overall a microblading touch up ensures the right color, shade, and shape stays for long and provides you with eyebrows that demand comparatively less aftercare needs.  This in itself is a very important process of the mircoblading treatment and final results, therefore a retouch maximises the best results possible to ensuring full satisfaction to our clients.
